Mtb, Canyoning, Mountain by Gianfranco Sappa
BIKE&MOUNTAIN was founded with the aim of promoting outside sports holidays dedicated to mountains, snow and water, mixing them together with a love of mountain biking. It's based in the Aosta Valley, a small region in the north-west of Italy at the foot of the Alps highest group of mountains: Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn and in particular Mont Blanc. Access is easy from main airports such as Geneva, Turin and Milan.
Sappa Gianfranco is the architect and enthusiastic promoter. A High Mountain Alpine Guide since 1985 he has dedicated himself full time to his profession (climbing, high mountains, trekking, torrentism, off-piste skiing and ski touring). He has acquired a profound knowledge of the Aosta Valley and the Mont Blanc Massif, the Maritime Alps in Liguria and Sardegna. Following development in the mountain biking sector he qualified as an mtb instructor. This is a recognised qualification in the Aosta Valley. He is a member of both the Aosta Valley Association of Mountain Bike Instructors and the Courmayeur Society of Alpine Guides, founded in 1850, where he is responsible for the mtb sector. Mixing, where possible, mountain biking with other activities has created the opportunity to propose the activities illustrated in this site for anybody fired by the same enthusiasm for mtb, the natural environment and adventure.
Everybody who works with Bike&Mountain is expert in dealing with groups and has professional qualification for the activities they run.
