Tour du Gran Combin

Tour of the Gran Combin
New for 2010 !!

DESCRIPTION AND HIGH POINTS

The tour of the Gran Combin the mountain itself being 4300 metres, bordering both Italy and Switzerland. The tour is around this mountain and also one nearby which is Mount Velan, covering three hills ranging from 2500 to 2800 metres with 4300 metres difference in levels and a distance of 125 km or 78 miles.
The panorama varies from the splendid valley where Aosta lies to the wilds of Valley of Bagnes and the historical hills of the Great San Bernardo. The 100km of dug-out pathways helps you quickly forget the 25km of tarmac route in it's own spectacular ambience.!
Three days is ideal for the best way to appreciate the ambience of the Alps.
The participants require a good level of training to make the most of the tour.
The trip is real challenge for fit and experienced bikers, with some technically demanding singletrack ascents and descents and sections where we may have to push or carry our bikes.
